"The Island" holds the top spot despite the opennings of the week like "Valiant", which opened at number 2 (continuing the portuguese likeness of 3D animation movies, even when it´s about pidgeons please...) with 42684 spectators - a little disapointing comparing it with "Madagáscar" opening.

Still in the top 10 of openings we have "Hitchiker´s Guide to the..." which opened at number 6 with only aproximatelly 15000 people watching it (i was one and i was sorry).
Only at number 20 we have the "Edukators" with only 2424 spectators which maintains the theory that portuguese only like english speaking movies despite the quality they have...

To it´s third week "The Key" almost didn´t dropped...only less 1000 spectators than last week which must mean something. The word of mouth of the last twist in the movie is making people go watch the movie.
"Herbie" also had a very small drop as "Charlie and the chocolate factory" and "Uma sogra de Fugir). The first for being a stupid movie (when it´s so bad it starts to get good - this one not really),the second for being one of the best movies opening in Portugal and the third for having sogra in the title (it´s the only possible explanation).
As a super-hero movie , the "Fantastic Four" had a big drop (almost 50%), from a over-saturation of openings people tend to forget action movies...
"Madagáscar" and "War of the Worlds" maintain the top 10 spots at 9 and 10 respectively, continuing the great run they are having, despite the bigger drops in spectators.

So we will see who dominates the Portuguese Box-Office next week...Will it be "The Island" for the third straight week?

Maybe it will or maybe it won´t... (Flute song playing - anybody got this joke??? hehe)
