So "Bewitched" opened at the top spot with 51449 spectators beating in a mad sprint one of the biggest hits in Portugal (it might be only here that it is a hit) "the Island". This gets only one conclusion, the love of witches in Portugal is very strong. Or was it because of Nicole, hmmmmm...It certainly wasn´t because of the film...hehehe

Zombies are back with George Romero, who gets a decent but not great opening with 22660 spectators (i was one of them). I think it deserved a lot better. Let´s see the next weeks to see it it as a great run..

The other three openers didn´t get to the top 20´s like "In my Father´s Den", "Summer of Love" and "Man to Man". So that´s under 2793 spectators from "Crash" of Paul Haggis.

The Biggest holder (a riser that´s not very common, unless) is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with a 10% rise in spectators to 16023. The "Skeleton Key" is also holding strong with a 21% drop from lasta week. it´s getting the key to portuguese hearts and doing some money.

"The Island" and "Valiant" with 36% drops were the ok drops of the week. "The Island" is becoming one of the biggest hits of the summer beating films like "Batman" and the "Fantastic Four".

"Monster in Law" is one of the other big surprises (just because of the sogra in the title) with many people seeing. This week the drop was big with a 41% drop.

Other big drops include Herbie, Hitchiker´s Guide and Fantastic Four in the excess of 45%. They are going down and fast... In general they deserve it...

A last note to the other big (altough in only 3 cinemas in all Portugal) is the French Hit "De tanto bater o meu coração parou" with a very small drop. That is still my advice for the week. Go see it. It´s great. Expect a critic in the next days.
